GENERAL ELECTION
November 8, 2005
Polls are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

YOUR ASSIGNED VOTING LOCATION
The Board of Elections notifies registered voters by mail of their assigned voting location and precinct number. If you have not received this information, or if you want to verify it, call the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections (216) 443-3200 or visit their web site. The Secretary of State’s office maintains a phone line to provide information on registration and voting for deaf citizens. The TTY number is (614) 466-0562. In Ohio, ballots cast in the wrong precinct will not be counted.

CHANGE OF ADDRESS
If you have changed your home address within Ohio’s boundaries or within your precinct since the last time you voted in an election, but you did not notify the Board of Elections prior to the Voter Registration Deadline, October 11, 2005, you can still vote on Election Day by going to the voting location and precinct that corresponds to your new address and voting with a “Provisional Ballot,” see below. Call the Board of Elections to verify your voting location and precinct number.

CHANGE OF NAME
If you have changed your name since the last time you voted in an election, but you did not notify the Board of Elections prior to the Voter Registration Deadline, October 11, 2005, you can still vote on Election Day by going to your assigned voting location and reporting your change of name prior to voting.

VOTING ON ELECTION DAY
The polls are open from 6:30 A.M. until 7:30 P.M. on Election Day, November 8, 2005. Go to your assigned voting location and precinct to sign in and vote. If your name is not listed on the poll books, you may be entitled to vote with a Provisional Ballot. If you have any difficulty with the voting process, make sure you ask for help from a poll worker.

VOTING BY PROVISIONAL BALLOT
In Ohio, Provisional Ballots will be issued only to voters who, after giving their address, appear to be in the correct precinct but are not listed on the registration poll book. Provisional Ballot votes will be counted once the Board of Elections has verified the address and registration status of the voter. (As per Secretary of State on 9/18/04)
