Please answer the following questions in no more than 300 words.
1. Why are you the best candidate for office?
I have lived in Ward 16 for 23 years and I am familiar with the people and the needs of the ward. My background as a Union Representative representing workers has given me the experience in conflict resolution to represent the constituents in an honest and fair way.
2. If elected or re-elected, what are your top three (3) priorities and why?
1.) Increased Police and Fire Safety Forces. People need to feel safe and secure in the city they live in. This also would attract people to be more inclined to move into the city. 2.) To have an exemplary school system. People want to set roots and raise their children in an environment that would offer their children a top-notch education. The future of the city begins with the education of our next generation that would best prepare them. 3.) Repeal of the residency requirement. City and Safety employees as well as everyone who resides in the city should have the choice of living where they so choose.
