Bicentennial Commission, and the NASA Lewis Research Center.
- BACKGROUND
- The Cleveland Bicentennial Commission sponsored Teaching Cleveland:
A Bicentennial Project. As a legacy project, Teaching Cleveland offers a
school-based comprehensive program of "hands-on" materials and
activities that enable Greater Cleveland students to experience
Cleveland's history and create their own vision of the city's
future.
- GOAL
- The ongoing goal of this project for grades K-12 is to increase the
knowledge of Cleveland's past and inspire students to take part in
creating its future.
- OBJECTIVES
- -- To provide educational opportunities that build knowledge
and a sense of personal connection to Cleveland's past
- -- To enable students to create a place for themselves in
Cleveland's future through their imagination and power of their ideas as
they develop visions of the city's future.
