About Us
The League of Women Voters of the Cleveland area,
a nonpartisan membership organization, was founded in 1920. The League
is dedicated to the principles of self-government established in the Constitution
of the United States and the protection of the right to vote of every
citizen.
In its program and voter services, the League works to promote responsibility
through informed and active citizen participation in government and to
advocate on public policy after study.
The League of Women Voters of Cleveland Educational Fund is
the nonprofit, 501(c)(3) arm of the League of Women Voters of Cleveland
dedicated to encouraging active and informed citizen participation
in government and civic affairs. The Educational Fund works to make
the often complicated political process more easily understood through
nonpartisan voter information, public forums, programs and publications.
